It has nothing to do with your abilities

God can use anyone to accomplish His plans.

One of the hardest lessons to learn and accept in the Bible is the truth that God doesn't choose those with the best abilities, He chooses those who have availability to be used by Him. That is so counter-cultural. God chose Peter and Andrew, James and John, four uneducated fisherman to be some of the disciples He would build his church around. He chose Matthew, a despised tax collector. The world would say they were unqualified, but that is exactly the point. God qualifies the unqualified through His Son Jesus to confound the wisdom of the wise and to bring glory to His name. 1 Corinthians 1:25 says "for the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength." Let that truth sink in and change you. Freedom is found in surrender.
